Sri K. B. Jayapala Shetty, our Founder Chairman, was an veteran administrator, having enormous experience of serving as an officer at the national and international level. The second son of Konebailu Guthu Yajamana Chikkayya Shetty and Bakrabailu Guthu Yamuna Shetty, he had served as Regional Director in the Department of Civil Aviation of Government of India and had earned recognition in the form of ‘Global Award’ from United Nations for having rendered distinguished service as an aviation advisor to the United Nations. An excellent organizer, and able leader and social reformer, Sri K. B. Jayapala Shetty had undertaken several socially oriented development projects with a view to bring solace to those who live below the poverty line and thereby fulfill his social obligations to the land of his birth. One such venture is the establishment of Sri Ramakrishna Credit Co-operative Society Ltd.
